Since I am of Indian-American heritage, I am particularly excited about the recent launch of Vogue India, which will be the 17th edition of Vogue around the world. None other than esteemed fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier (who is receiving an award at the CFDAs tonight, by the way) shot the cover of the first-ever issue, which features doll-faced model Gemma Ward. This will be one of Gemma's many magazine covers; she has been on four Vogue covers, French Vogue, Vogue China, and Australia's Vogue Girl.

The debut issue of Vogue India is expected to release in September. At a CFDA dinner last night hosted by Nadja Swarovski, Demarchelier said the cover "has an angelic twist."
