Kate Middleton, Prince William's long-time girlfriend, will work with British photographer Mario Testino at his New York studios in March. While further details are not yet known, Middleton has already had met with Testino.

KATE MIDDLETON has quit her job as an accessories buyer for fashion chain Jigsaw.

Middleton told friends that she gave up the role as she wanted "time to herself.

A source spills to the Daily Mail " When she was asked what she was off to do she said she was a photographer and she may open a gallery."

Jigsaw owners John and Belle Robinson created Middleton's position especially for her less than a year ago, in order to accommodate her royal commitments, Vogue UK reports.

DailyMail UK is reporting that Kate Middleton wants some time out from the UK.

Following up on a Vogue rumor, DailyMail UK says Kate Middleton is said to be considering leaving the UK for the States to escape the limelight.

The 25-year-old, has told her mother Carole and sister Pippa that she is contemplating a temporary move to America, where, apparently, there is an offer of work for her with designer Tom Ford in New York.

‘The rumour is that Kate might be some sort of consultant or public relations person,’ says a source.

Kate has already told friends she is dissatisfied in her current four-day-a-week job as an accessories buyer for High Street store Jigsaw because it is not challenging enough.

After abandoning her own online clothing company because it meant giving away too many personal details when she was still with William, friends say she now wishes to resurrect the idea.

The source adds: ‘She enjoys fashion and has an eye for it although she doesn’t consider herself a fashionista.’

"Since she likes fashion (she works as an accessories buyer for Jigsaw, the British clothing chain), the thinking is that some clever fashion house will score a big public-relations coup by hiring her... And if, maybe as a favor or a kindness owed his ex, young William supports young Kate's new job by wearing one of her designer's suits or, even better, turning up at a fashion show, she will be worth her weight in publicity gold."

Meanwhile, Middleton, who parted ways with the Prince just one week ago, hit the town with a few of her girlfriends. They frequented the Mahiki Hawaiian themed club in London's trendy Mayfair where they are all said to have had a 'great time.'

Kate and William met at St. Andrews university in Scotland in 2002.
