This past week, Kanye West turned 30, and threw a blowout party to remember. The party was sponsored by GQ Magazine and Louis Vuitton, and LV even opened up its flagship store on Est 57th for the occasion. Kanye himself arrived in a Tom Ford tuxedo jacket, bowtie, dress shirt, and jeans, and splendid Hermes shoes. The party was rumored to have shut down much of Fifth Avenue due to fans trying to get a glimpse of many of the high-profile guests - Mariah Carey, Ed Lover, Jay-Z, Mariah Carey, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Gabrielle Union, Rihanna, Heatherette's Traver Rains, and Liya Kebede. How did he get Louis Vuitton to lend its store to Kanye for the big occasion? Kanye won't tell - “It was a little conversation that sparked, ya know?” he said with a grin. “And I’m just keepin’ it real.”
