Dior Homme Spring 2006 Mens Ad Campaign

Luxury Label Dior Homme is being slammed across fashion boards over the quality of their latest in store collection . From stitching to buttons falling off, fans wonder why Dior Homme has such poor tailoring.

Fashion Gossips claim Dior Homme slipped up in an effort to cut cost, and in turn increase commercial appeal. The clothes are still super expensive, so I am puzzled.

In the 1980s and '90s Christian Dior's menswear division was known as Dior Monsieur. The line favored business types with suits, dress shirts and trench coats. Dior Monsieur was discontinued in the late '90s by Christian Dior SA to make way for the Dior Homme line, designed by Hedi Slimane. Hedi Slimane studied Art History at the Ecole du Louvre, and was also educated as a tailor.

After working as Collections Director for Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche Homme in 1997, and subsequently as Artistic Director, he became the chief designer for men's clothing, Dior Homme, for Christian Dior in 2000.
