Lucky magazine has asked top fashion designers to create an exclusive, limited edition diamond rings.

The result is a limited edition diamond ring collection by Tracy Reese, Charlotte Ronson, Rebecca Taylor, Cynthia Rowley, Jill Stuart, and Twinkle by Wenlan.

Each of the women designed their rings calling upon personal inspirations.

· Cynthia Rowley says that her ‘Generations’ ring is “based on one passed down among the men in [her] family…pretty but still tough.”

· Jill Stuart attributes ‘Labors of Love’ to the birth of her third daughter and says, “I gave birth to [her] the day before my Spring ’95 show. I danced down the runway at the show the next day!”

The collection is available for purchase through www.LuckyDesigned2Shine.com and will be sold in each designer’s New York boutique (with the exception of Twinkle by Wenlan, which does not have a boutique) and fourteen select Macy's locations beginning August 9.

This is riding the fence between celebrity and fashion but I promise it's a fashion-gossip-related story. Second City Style blog is reporting that designer Jill Stuart (remember Lindsay Lohan is doing an ad campaign for Jill Stuart?) released a statement today backing/supporting Lindsay Lohan in light of her recent second drunk driving arrest.

The design house said: “We continue to be supportive of Lindsay and her family’s efforts to get back on track and a healthful road to sobriety and rehabilitation, as anyone who has had a friend or where all of these high profile stories are emanating from, that also does not address the source, namely the restaurants & bars that comp these young people and the loved one struggle with the disease of alcoholism and addiction knows all too well. I would also question the virtuosity of an investigation or prosecution, especially in LA paparazzi that harass them relentlessly.”

Well, that makes at least one person in Lindsay's corner. Too bad no one else is...
