With the Spring -Summer 2009 ready to wear shows in Milan and Paris over, here is a look at some of the trends for the upcoming season. Some we are happy to see .... some we hope stay on the runway.
Too-cool-for the room designers like Hussein Chalayan to Miuccia Prada who is at the forefront of the trend curve have echoed bare midriff looks as a must for Spring 2009.
So its time to wrap up and hit the gym ... In keeping with body exposure, ripped jeans and torn denim also had a strong showing on the Spring 2009 runways. We loved the ripped denim look at Balmain. (pictured in shoulder looks)
The statement necklace a big trend in New York for Spring 2009 was also big in Milan and Paris. Emporio Armani, Lanvin , Iceberg and Marni had this as a key must have.
One-Shouldered Tops, Dresses & Bikinis were everywhere this season . A huge part of Versace Spring 2009.
Natalie Massenet on style.com calls Jumpsuits the "look of the day" . Bottega Veneta , Dolce & Gabbana and Ann Valerie Hash all had jumpsuits on the runway.

Skeleton looks were big at Alexander Mcqueen, Maison Martin Margiela and Givenchy
Fringe
Lanvin had some of the big trends and the fabrics used were absolutely beautiful.
