Audrey Tautou reveals : “The feature film enabled me to learn a lot more about Coco Chanel,” Audrey says of playing the style icon. “She was an innovator, ahead of her era. The fact that she created a fragrance in the 1920s that could just as easily have been created yesterday reflects the standard of excellence that applied to everything she did in her life.” She continues, “By playing Coco and getting to know her, I understood, even more, just how unique N°5 really is.”

Chanel has confirmed that Audrey Tautou will replace Nicole Kidman as the face of the Chanel No.5 fragrance. The French actress will debut in a 2009 commercial directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet, Fashion Week Daily reports.

According to WWD, Audrey Tautou, is the new face of Chanel No. 5, following Nicole Kidman, Carole Bouquet and Catherine Deneuve.
