There is no denying the value of a good pair of jeans, a few of my pals swear by Express denim. Price, fit , variety and wash... . pushed Express denim as a must. I finally made the plunge with great thanks to Express. As we see the resurgence of destroyed denim the price point of the jeans allowed for me to take an already great pair of jeans and try something I have been wanting to for ages . (I got very arts and craft) I put them out on the roof in the New York Sun & Rain , scrubbed them on the pavement, basically any hard, rough surface I could find..... the result .... my new favorite destroyed jean. and technically my only pair. The price made it very comfortable to experiment!!!

Its always nice to be in a pair of jeans that transitions easily with a little dressing up and accessorizing. With a great fitting jean, 80% of the work is done. Black amplifies evening and chicness for me, so a great black shirt, (something light, maybe cashmere - if you plan of working up a sweat maybe jersey) and black shoes (something with studs) and a great bag would make for a seamless transition. For those that love a little shine, glowing skin with great hair, would be all the accessorizing needed to pull those second glances. I am very excited about this little jeans project.

For Spring 2009, Rad Hourani presented an impossibly chic black on black collection at New York Fashion Week. WWD, summed up the collection perfectly, Symmetrical, structured and seasonless . From the sliced leather to the fur made to look like feathers, Rad Hourani demonstrated his unwavering aesthetic . I loved the collection then and today I have a new appreciation for the genius of Rad Hourani's Spring 2009 Collection.
