British fashion label Monsoon has dumped Liz Hurley, 42, from her one-million-pound contract as the face of Monsoon. Rumor has it that Monsoon was looking to go with a younger woman, and hired Helena Christensen (38) in place of Hurley. However, the company denies any age rumors and blamed the firing on poor sales.
Monsoon also hired Heidi Klum as the new face of their sister company, Accessorize, a popular British accessories boutique. She is taking over the role formerly held by model Lily Cole.
This is the second time this year Liz Hurley has been fired from an ad campaign - the first was from Jordache denim, the company which, coincidentally, Heidi Klum just did a major ad campaign for. Hmm...do I smell a pattern here?
