MTV's Model Maker is asking girls to lose weight . The show takes girls who are pretty enough to be models but do not have the skinny figure to walk the runway

A rep for the show explained the weight loss will be achieved 'in a healthy and realistic time span'. Contestants who wish to apply must be between 17 and 24, 5ft 9" and 6ft tall.

The girl who successfully loses weight wins $100,000, a modeling portfolio and a personal trainer for a year.
