Model CARLA BRUNI reportedly pregnant , will marry French President Nicolas Sarkozy according to a report in France's Journal du Dimanche, Vogue UK reports.

Sarkozy's office has scheduled an unspecified "major announcement", following rumors the president presented Bruni with a £10,000 diamond engagement ring on Christmas Day.

"A source close to Miss Bruni has assured us that the wedding plans are now well underway," claims the Journal. "The date of a wedding had been set for Friday, February 8 or, more probably, Saturday, February 9."
