Gareth Moody's Spring 08 collection (menswear)
[img_assist|nid=4915|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=640|height=315] Gareth Moody's first full collection is out, and it’s looking surprisingly nice. The man behind the hit denim label Ksubi - once called Tsubi - presents his spring 08 menswear collection as his private label “Chronicles of Never” rapidly expands. The latest collection portrays a profound concept on which sadness and youth collide therefore creating a pretty singular look. My first impression of his new work was skinny garments for the muscular guys. And I still think that way. It’s as if Gareth had decided to give muscular men a chance of being a part of a fading movement: heroin chic. With his designs he offers build up people the chance of enjoying the delightful pleasure of experiencing an extraordinary fashion world firstly conceived by Hedi. But it’s not for everybody of course, since the actual garments are not for chunky big men, but stylized athletic people who happen to have a proportionate body but not a small waist. Regarding the actual designs, their isn’t anything special or superb to appreciate. His work features common pieces like printed t-shirts featuring some kind of message and stuff, but it’s understandable since it’s the first full menswear collection he does for Chronicles of Never. I hope to see more about Gareth who happens to be an incredible talented jewelry designer and whose work I will write about very soon.
