Fashion East Spring 08
[img_assist|nid=4781|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=640|height=407] Since the year 2000 Top Shop has supported young designers by allowing them to present their work under a sort of label called Fashion East. For the last couple of years, Henry Holland from the House of Holland was one of the chosen designers who exhibited their work at the London Fashion Week. This is year he will still be there among the “selected” group, but he won’t be alone. Noki, recognizable only for the masks he wears, and freshly-graduated Central Saint Martins talent Louise Gray will be presenting their work along Henry and hopefully heating up the scene. House of Holland designer Henry Holland will expand the collection of slogan T-shirts into a full rock-inspired collection. I believe that it was about time Henry did something else apart from his t-shirts, since the media in general was getting kind of bored with his work - and so did the people I presume. The Central Saint Martins graduate Louise Gray will build on her debut quirky and colorful spring/summer 07 collection to incorporate optical illusion, suspension and weight with lashings of oddity. And Noki’s collection will include Couture-like pieces with delicate embellishments. Fashion East is being supported in the US by New York based retailer Seven New York which is offering their products at their online store.
