For many people the word "trend" is a direct synonym of fashion misleading and corruption. Most of the time they are vastly wrong, but they desperately pursue the ideal of originality. Nevertheless, when the usage of despicable garments such as these nylon jackets become a "trend" I kind of understand their concept about the whole thing.
Sometimes I wonder if I should feel sorry or empathy for those who dare to use these jackets, but the truth is that I've a hard time trying to really understand the mystery behind the elaboration of such items. I would accept it if they were conceived by a small designer at a modest atelier, but when it becomes so popular and massive, I remain perplexed. I don't understand how somebody would ever be appealed by a shapeless cheesy jacket like those above. This season many labels from Dior Homme to Dolce are including one of these in their off-the-runway collections; and they all look like crap - specially those by Dolce which seem to be some sort of lunar equipment.
After such events, I'm able to say that sometimes when some people struggle to differentiate they do it in order to prevent this fashion misleadings to expand. They do it to warn others and to sustain the sometimes exquisite world of fashion. Nylon jackets should not be as hideous as those above; I mean look at the ones Patrik Ervell designed. Those are absolutely brilliantly crafted and they magnificently superb.
