Burberry released a statement today announcing that it has arrested three counterfeiters in Japan for violating trademark laws. According to WWD, in a raid last year, police found over 50,000 pieces of fake Burberry items int he counterfeiters' offices and warehouses. A spokesman for the luxury goods retailer commented: "This successful seizure and arrest is excellent news for Burberry and the luxury goods industry. Burberry will not tolerate counterfeiting and will always push for the maximum penalty." You mean I can't get anymore dirt-cheap knockoffs?! Just kidding....
