Robin Givhan, fashion editor for the Washington Post, is quickly rising to fame. At this year's CFDAs, she will be honored with the Eugenia Sheppard Award. She has also previously won a Pulitzer for criticism, for her "witty, closely observed essays that transform fashion criticism into cultural criticism." She is without a doubt one of the fashion industry's most prominent and celebrated journalists, and it's about time the Council of Fashion Designers of America took notice. In an interview with FWD, she offers her wise decision on what to wear to the CFDA Awards: "I will be wearing a gown that I can afford, but if I was really brave I would walk on that stage wearing a dress that cost more than my monthly mortgage—and that I was planning to return the morning after the awards!"
