Depressed Catherine McNeil Cutting Herself?

Model Catherine McNeil (NEXT MODELS) has sparked fears for her health after being snapped with cuts on her arms. According to the Daily Telegraph, McNeil's mother has contradicted her daughter's claims that cuts were the result of a skateboard injury. Melissa McNeil said she believed the cuts occurred when McNeil "fell down some stairs" but also admitted her daughter did get "down at times".

A few days ago Next Model Daul Kim reportedly committed suicide.

The criticism Catherine McNeil faced in modeling circles for putting on weight to a size 10 before disappearing from international runway shows altogether is reportedly playing a part in her depression.

Her Grandmother Sandra McNeil recently said her granddaughter had been "burned out" by the industry.

"She's been through a lot." "She hasn't had it easy. She hasn't had much of a life. I never forced her into modelling, it was her decision, it was her choice.

"But it's not as glamorous as it appears. There's a lot of pressure to maintain your looks and sometimes it gets her down."

"She wants to move to London. We all get depressed, particularly when you've had bad things about you. I tell her you've got to be positive."
