Chanel Fuels Excitement For Cruise 2007 . 2008 Collection



Chanel.com is offering daily podcasts with tidbits about the inspirations for the Chanel 2007 . 2008 Cruise collection reports WWD.

Fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld will present Chanel's resort collection in a hangar at a private airport in Santa Monica, Calif. on May 18. The 7 p.m. show, for an audience of close to 500, will be followed by a party reports WWD.
Lagerfeld opted for hangar number eight, located next to the control tower.

The podcasts will be available on iTunes, and can also be subscribed to on chanel.com.

Meanwhile, Bloomingdale's new South Coast Plaza store in Costa Mesa, Calif., is the first in the U.S. to feature Chanel's Makeup Studio, a 500-square-foot store-in-store designed to showcase Chanel's color cosmetics, skin care and fragrance stockkeeping units in an upscale environment.

Separate areas of the Studio are devoted to each of Chanel's beauty categories. The oversized Eyes, Face, Lips Makeup Wall includes light box mirrors at each station, which are designed to simulate natural light from day to evening in the spring, summer and winter seasons.

Gisele Bundchen to launch her own lingerie line



Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen is planning to launch her own lingerie line with high street
chain H+M, reports Female First UK

The model - who has just quit as the face of Victoria's Secret- is said to have been in negotiations to begin work on her own underwear label for some time.

A source told Page Six: "Gisele is negotiating a lingerie
line. She has been in talks with H+M for a long time."




Isabella Blow committed suicide?



Fashion gossips believe Isabella Blow committed suicide. The stylist and former fashion director of Tatler and London's Sunday Times, was found dead in Gloucester, England - circumstances still being determined, WWD reports

The fashion fixture was credited with discovering the likes of Alexander McQueen and Philip Treacy reports Page Six.

A spokesman said the cause of death was cancer, but the Daily Telegraph of London hinted of suicide when it called her "a self-confessed depressive" and reported, "She had a fragile sense of identity and her insecurities had been exacerbated by the breakdown of her marriage to the art dealer Detmar Blow."
