[img_assist|nid=4893|title=|desc=|link=none|align=left|width=481|height=640] A few weeks back I wrote about the new movement sponsored by the London Fashion College called “Green is the new black”. At that time the only thing they were offering to the public, besides raising some awareness about the global warming issues and stuff, was a set of Holland-like t-shirts and the announcement of the future opening of a Centre for Sustainable Fashion. But right now, they have more for us. The people behind “Green is the new Black” are about to release an eco-friendly fashion guide called “How to Change the World With Style” which is full of brilliant ideas, fun facts and useful fair-trade directories, Green is the New Black effectively explains the principles of ethical fashion in the chicest, greenest survival manual around, as MpdClick reports. Sections within the book include: * Getting the Look * DIY style * Green Weddings * Eco Travel * Bags & Shoes The guide’s release is getting great support among fashion socialites. Supermodel Lily Cole, for instance, has publicly talked about it as well as posed wearing the set of t-shirt previously mentioned. Source:MPDClick

Well, the always popular supermodel is getting that plus more, as she will be the center of attention at the Beyond Limits sale of modern and contemporary sculpture at Chatsworth House in Derbyshire The “magnificent” elaboration has been designed by Marc Quinn, a British artist whose Sphinx sculptures capturing Kate Moss in a series of yoga poses toured the world in 2006. Quinn admires the British icon deeply and he strongly believes that she is an inspiration to us all. The new sculpture appears as a high version of his previous work the "Sphinx", and it’s expected to be as refreshing as its predecessor . During the hard process of the sculpture’s elaboration, it has been reported that Kate Moss helpfully attended every time it was requested to Quinn’s studio in London. While the head and body of the sculpture belong to Kate Moss for real, Quinn has worked with another model to sculpt the actual pose.

The Florence-born designer believes that he is work is highly sexy, but by no means vulgar nor trashy. He also thinks that he is work is absolutely brilliant, and feels the same love for his elaborations as a normal guy would feel for his children - kind of a narcissist old man, isn’t he? Well, at a recent interview with VOGUE UK the Italian artist was asked why he had decided to design a capsule collection for H&M; what did he answer? He said to be very excited with the idea of offering his creations to the masses as well as having the chance of being more recognized on the streets Say what? Yeah, that’s right. He said he would enjoy if someone approached him and tell him how much of a big icon he is. As her long-time wife Eva threatens him with a possible divorce, old Roberto enters a melancholic period full of sadness and despair - or at least that’s what it seems. He is in desperate need of love and attention, and he relies on his followers for that delightful pleasure.

Roberto Cavalli - desperate for love?

He is based in the Lower East District and he is a currently developing artist. Fame is not something he vastly has right now, but it’s a matter of time before someone picks him up - maybe he gets an entire page somewhere. But prior to that I shall start by writing a respectable entry about him. His latest spring-summer collection is somehow too “over the top”. Meaning that Adam aspired to portray an idea too complex for his current developing stage. So what was the idea? He tried to create a line for those men who love to dress up, but who don’t want to buy the usual stuff. A concept that seems rather simple and dull, but that it’s quite profound and hard to pull. The fabrics are all made in Italy, but the style is casual New York. The figure portrayed is slim and fitted, quite nice. Nevertheless, the boots weren’t similar and evoked a big chunky style - a cheap version of Hedi’s spring 08 black boots. The pants are mostly mid-raised and appear to be of the same length we are accustomed to, but there are one or two exceptions which present the Thom Browne short-cut.

I find them so comfortable, nice, and so easy to wear, but I’m not attracted to those which evoke street wear principles. However, I sometimes want them to be eccentric, and who is “the” designer when it comes to wacky designs? John Galliano…obviously. As you may recall, this isn’t the first time I write an entry about Galliano’s hoodies. Last time, I wrote about one hoodie which was strikingly candid and had diverse prints on it, it wasn’t nothing like this one. The first difference, is the color. While the other one was completely flashy and innovative, this one is a two-faced garment Say What? Yeah, that’s right; on the front it’s just a regular looking gray hoodie featuring a small “John Galliano”, but on the back a colorful mixture of different prints and “textures” is presented as well as a bull-like image. And that’s what I like the most about my new “favorite” Galliano hoodie, the two sided effect. It’s perfect for those occasions on which you feel like pulling off something easy to wear while looking spectacular for a party full of booze and excitement - THIS is a truly ready-to-wear item.
